Behind the stories of Heidi Kinderbücher is a simple yet heartfelt passion: creating stories that bring joy to children and make shared reading moments truly special. As a Swiss children’s book author based in the canton of Bern, I draw much of my inspiration from the moments I share with my children and grandchildren. It is from these treasured experiences that stories filled with warmth, imagination, and heart come to life.

What age groups are the books intended for?
My children’s books are created for two age groups: The Little Star, The Little Star Goes on a Journey, and Nameless Ant are board books for children ages 2 and up, while Linus and the Dragon Oculai is designed for children ages 6 and up—ideal for reading aloud and for young readers beginning to explore stories on their own.
Do the books make good gifts?
Absolutely. The books make wonderful gifts for birthdays, Christmas, baptisms, or other special occasions. With loving illustrations, imaginative worlds, and heartwarming stories, they offer a memorable experience for children and families who enjoy reading together.
Where do you ship, and how long does delivery take?
We ship throughout Switzerland and the EU. Delivery typically takes 2–4 business days within Switzerland and 2–7 business days to Germany and other EU countries. Orders are shipped from our warehouses in Switzerland and Germany. Shipping to the United States is available upon request—please contact us for details.
Are the books free from violence?
Yes. All of my stories are completely free from violence and have a happy ending. I place great importance on creating stories that nurture courage, confidence, and imagination—without fear or violence, while still offering excitement, wonder, and adventure.
Are more books by Heidi Sutter coming soon?
Yes! In addition to "The Little Star" and "Linus and the Dragon Oculai – Volume 1", "The Little Star on a Journey" and "Nameless Ant" will also be published in 2026.
Furthermore, the new story "The Merman" with Linus and the dragon Oculai is already in the works, and further projects are planned.
